Geofencing
Geofencing involves setting a virtual perimeter around a geographic area in the real world. This simple, yet very powerful feature has numerous applications across a wide range of different industries.
How does geofencing work?
You can create one or more predefined geographical zones by drawing "fences" using different colour codes on the map and applying rules to devices that can enter or leave these areas. For example, if a specific radio user enters a restricted area the software will automatically send a warning message to your dispatcher. The software can be set up so upon entry or exit of a geofenced area, it will trigger an email or SMS message.
Geofencing
technology can:
Keep workers safe
Help keep workers away from dangerous areas.
Provide proof
Provide proof of service, showing when an employee visited a fenced area.
Make reports
Report how long a user has been in a fenced area so this information can be used for billing or performance analysis.
